There is a long-standing debate as to which day is better for grabbing the biggest deals on holiday shopping: Black Friday or Amazon prime day.
These two dates are often compared and contrasted, with many consumers wondering if it's worth it to wait until the prime day to shop for the best deals. While Black Friday may offer the most bang for your buck there are some other points to be considered while comparing these two days.
Sure, shoppers will be able to score lower prices on electronics and other items during Amazon prime day, but they won’t get any sales tax savings (That’s only gonna happen in shopping malls).
Black Friday is often considered the biggest shopping event of the year. Firstly, a variety of retailers participate in this event, not only online but also offline retailers. Secondly, Black Friday sales are not backed by any kind of membership. Lastly, this event always comes right before everyone's holiday gift exchanges.
Let’s understand how Black Friday and Amazon Prime day differ from each other:-
•Customers with prime membership are the ones who benefit the most from amazon's prime day sales. If you don’t have prime membership the person can sign up for a 30-day free trial during the sale season and if you are already a part of this membership then you need to sign up for a photo paid membership.
•At the same time Black Friday is accessible to everyone.
•Prime day only happens on the Amazon platform where retailers can offer the best deals to potential customers by giving great sale options.
•For Black Friday is considered a general event for all retailers.
Statistics:-
In 2021, the average discount on Black Friday is 24%.
At the same time, Amazon Prime Day sales went to $11.2 billion.
$8.9 billion was spent by online shoppers in 2021 for Black Friday in the US.
Sales increased by 71% between 2018 and 2019 on Prime Day.
Somewhere, people got confused about when to shop and which is the best time. Generally, if we look for a prime day it is considered to be the best time to shop for hi-tech goods. If you plan to sell generic products Black Friday is a better option.
Now, make your wishlist and keep checking the best deals, and put it on your cart.
Don’t miss out on the offer!
Happy selling!
